Prince Harry and Meghan Markle move into new home: report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly moved into a friend’s home in the UK.

The Daily Mail reported Monday that they’ve been staying with the wealthy businessman who lives in the Cotswolds since relocating back to Harry’s home country in August with their two kids.

The family was “living in the main house,” but recently “moved to a property on the estate,” an insider told the outlet.

Harry became friends with the businessman through their mutual support of military charities, according to the report. The close friend is reportedly happy for the Sussexes and their children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — to continue living on his estate.

Harry and Markle were house hunting in August for a home close to his father, King Charles III, royal commentator Tom Sykes previously told Page Six.

“I was told by a friend of Harry‘s earlier this year that he was going to go house hunting and potentially in the Cotswolds near Highgrove,” Sykes said, referring to Charles and Queen Camilla’s Highgrove House residence.

The journalist explained that Harry knows the area “very well.”

Meanwhile, he and his wife are hanging on to their $14.5 million mansion in Montecito, California, a source exclusively told Page Six in September.

“No one is moving in,” an insider told us. “There are folks still maintaining the property.”

Interestingly enough, when the couple made the shocking decision to step back as senior members of the royal family and move to the US back in 2020, they also moved in at a friend’s mansion — Tyler Perry.

The “Spare” author and the As Ever founder moved into the media mogul’s hilltop eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom, Tuscan-style villa in the swanky gated Beverly Ridge Estates in Beverly Hills, Page Six confirmed in May 2020.

They eventually bought and moved into their Montecito estate in August of that year.

But it’s been a tough time for the couple amid their second relocation as Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., remains under investigation for child pornography allegations.

Harry, 42, and Markle, 45, reportedly jetted out of the UK and went overseas with their kids last week, though it was unclear where the family was headed.

“She’s just really, really upset,” a friend close to the “Suits” alum told Hello! Magazine. “She keeps on looking at Lili and she’s in tears, and thinking about all the children, the alleged victims.”

“She has young children herself. It’s just devastating,” the insider added.

In a statement to Page Six last month after the disturbing allegations came to light regarding Markle’s father, the mother of two said she was “deeply distressed” in a statement to Page Six.

“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children was for one reason: to protect them,” she said in part, noting she was informed about the allegations in 2018. “I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.”
