Fans brawl during Oilers-Devils game as one man takes on entire group for chirping about Canada
If a hockey game settled by a shootout isn’t enough action for you, the Oilers and Devils game on Tuesday night included some extracurricular activity in the stands as fans started brawling with each other, clearing out several rows in the process.
The video of the action taken from a row or two away shows a guy in a camouflage shirt trying to get after it with several fans in the row behind him. His shirt is being pulled up and at one point he’s hit in the head with several punches.

A touching reminder that the NHL season has returned. While all of that is taking place, another fan from the lower row pulls another fan down almost in the lap of the person capturing the footage.

The video doesn’t show what led to the fight between the fans, but someone who says they were sitting next to the guy in the camo responded to the clip and filled in those details.
According to the alleged witness, it started because the guys behind the guy in the camo were talking trash about Canada.
“guys directly behind us were talking majorrrr shit about canada, camo was canadian,” she wrote. “guys behind me kept saying stuff, camo turned around and said if they kept talking he’d beat the shit out of them and won’t care if he got ejected.”

They “kept chirping,” she continued, and the rest is history. She added, “camo obviously started beating the shit out of them. it was completely insane, i’ve never been so close to something like that lol.”
What happened to the guy who was pulled down a couple of rows, you ask. Well, she has the details on that too.

A tough night for this group, especially those rooting for the Oilers and those who were ejected. The Oilers ended up losing the game and if any Devils fans were tossed, and they probably were, they missed a 4-3 win by shootout.
Now that hockey is back, it’s a good time to remind everyone: chirp in the stands at your own risk.
