Meghan Markle’s mom Doria Ragland pictured at LA home just hours after ex-husband Thomas Markle Sr.’s arrest for child pornography
Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, was spotted at her Los Angeles home Friday, just hours after her ex-husband, Thomas Markle Sr., was arrested on federal child pornography charges.
Ragland, 70, was photographed entering her home as news of the shocking allegations against the Duchess of Sussex’s estranged father made headlines.
The former Hollywood lighting director, 82, was arrested Friday in Florida and charged with one count of possession of child pornography.
According to the Department of Justice, federal agents discovered suspected child sexual abuse material in two Los Angeles area storage units that Thomas had rented since 2008.
FBI agents searched two storage units rented by Thomas in the Los Angeles area, seizing approximately 78 items, including material suspected of containing child sexual abuse imagery, according to a federal criminal complaint obtained by Page Six.
The complaint alleges that Thomas appears in two images alongside an underage girl. A witness who has known Thomas since the 1970s identified him as the adult pictured, according to the filing.
Investigators searched the storage units on Oct. 30 and Nov. 4, according to the complaint, which states that the investigation is ongoing.
Thomas faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Ragland and Thomas married in 1979 and welcomed Meghan two years later before divorcing when their daughter was young.
Unlike her father, Ragland has maintained a relationship with Meghan, 45, and her husband, Prince Harry, 42.
