‘Little Rascals’ star Brandon ‘Bug’ Hall defends GoFundMe after critics urge him to ‘get a job’: ‘I’m going to keep impregnating my wife’

“Little Rascals” star Brandon “Bug” Hall defiantly doubled down over starting a GoFundMe for financial help ahead of welcoming his sixth child.

Hall, 41, has been responding to critics on X, including one user who urged him to “get a real job” and to stop getting his wife pregnant if he can’t afford it.

The former child star bluntly responded, “I’m going to keep impregnating my wife 👍.”

When another critic told him to “move to a small town and put your skills to work and get a job like everyone else,” he commented back, “Nah. I’m busy building a farm and feeding my family and community 👍.”

Hall also clarified the notion that he didn’t work, thanking a a supporter who noted that the former actor was trying to be “as self sustaining as possible as he works to build a house.”

The X user wrote, “I just don’t think it’s a 9-5 career—but various jobs with a set goal in mind.”

“That’s right. This was a rougher year too,” he replied. “I mostly worked full time, while also working to prepare our new home site.”

Hall launched a GoFundMe fundraiser last Thursday, sharing that he “really need[ed] some help” less than a month before his wife, Jill Marie DeGroff, is set to give birth, and as the family moved to rural Arkansas.

“It’s now six years since I self-cancelled, and I have avoided doing one of these in all that time,” he wrote in the description. “I always said this was my choice, and so I didn’t want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are.”

He shared a picture of him with his wife and their five children. His wife and four young daughters all wore the same green long-sleeved dress.

“I’ve fallen a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and an unexpected electric hookup service fee),” he wrote about his situation.

While his goal was $2,000, he’s since raised over $23,000.

Hall is best known for playing Alfalfa Switzer in 1994’s “Little Rascals.” In January, he told the Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and was living off-the-grid as “a radical Catholic extremist”.
