Khloé Kardashian mourns late grandma MJ: ‘Your love will forever be woven into who we are’

Khloé Kardashian mourned her late grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, days after the latter died at the age of 91.

“My sweet MJ 🦋,” the Good American co-founder wrote via Instagram Sunday, alongside throwback photos with the matriarch.

“Thank you for showing us that life is meant to be celebrated, that laughter is healing, and that love is the greatest legacy we can leave behind. You lived so fully, so gracefully, and so beautifully.”

“One of my greatest blessings will always be that my children knew their great-grandmother,” Kardashian added, referring to her kids, True, 8, and Tatum, 3, whom she shares with ex Tristian Thompson.

“That they experienced your hugs, your stories, your joy, and the incredible light you carried so effortlessly.”

The TV personality reflected on the lessons she learned from MJ, writing, “You taught us that love never leaves. It lives on in the family you built, the traditions we’ll continue, the stories we’ll tell, and every time we choose joy. Your love will forever be woven into who we are.”

Additionally, she thanked her grandma for the lessons, laughs and intentional time she gave to her family, describing her as “truly one of one.”

“I know Heaven welcomed you with open arms, surrounded by everyone who has been waiting to see you again,” Kardashian, who also lost her father, Robert Kardashian, from esophageal cancer in 2003, noted.

“And I know you kept your promise 🤍 telling my daddy just how deeply we love him and how much we miss him,” she said.

“I know you’re happy having your coke, tuna sandwich and graham crackers with papa Harry while Karen dances around you. Until we meet again, my sweet MJ! I love you 🤍,” the “Kardashians” star concluded.

Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, announced MJ’s death Thursday.

“[Campbell] taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted. She taught us that family is everything,” Jenner wrote on Instagram.

She also emotionally shared that her late mother “will live on” in their family traditions.

“When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us,” Jenner continued. “There is not a part of me that isn’t shaped by you. And if I have done anything right in this world, it’s because I spent my life trying to live in a way that would make you proud.”

Kim Kardashian later took to social media to explain why she shared an Instagram post about her vacation photos just moments after news of her grandmother’s death broke, after some blasted her as insensitive.

“This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came right alongside her passing,” she explained in the comments section of her Thursday post, responding to fans.

“I’ve been by my mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now. We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life 🕊️🤍.”
