A pair of brothers age 4 and 7 managed to get behind the wheel of their parents’ car before plowing into a dog walker and crashing on an Oakland street.

The Oakland Police Department said the two young siblings went for the dangerous joyride in the white Toyota sedan on Thursday morning.

Police said the car was traveling northbound on 35th Avenue at Mangles Avenue at a “high rate of speed” before sideswiping another vehicle that was headed in the opposite direction, ABC7 News reported.

The collision sent the car careening into a home on the corner after hitting a woman who was walking a dog in the crosswalk.

A witness said one of the boys appeared to using the steering wheel as the other worked the gas and brake pedals, according to KRON4.

Images showed the car on sidewalk after hitting a wall next to the home.

“You didn’t hear her scream,” the witness said of the woman who struck. “You didn’t hear any of the kids make any noises. The only sound that you heard was the crash.”

The woman, described as being in her 30s, was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

The two brothers are listed in stable condition and their parents are reportedly cooperating with police.

The boys’ uncle said the brothers took the car keys while their parents were sleeping. He said the 7-year-old broke his leg and his younger brother suffered a concussion.
