Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has already added two rings to his resumé in 2026.

Darnold secured the first when the Seahawks routed the Patriots 29–13 in Super Bowl 60, marking Seattle’s first Super Bowl win since 2014.

The former USC Trojans starting quarterback’s second ring arrived less than two months later, when he married Katie Hoofnagle at the Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa in Rancho Santa Fe.

Fast forward almost exactly five months and Darnold is gearing up to face the Patriots again in the NFL’s season opener Wednesday.

Katie Darnold took this opportunity to show her devotion to her husband with a wholesome Instagram post that featured many photos from the wedding and was captioned, “in every lifetime, you & me.”

The couple went Instagram official with their relationship in April 2023, and Sam Darnold popped the question to Hoofnagle in Dana Point in July 2025.

One would imagine that Katie Darnold will be in her husband’s suite when the Seahawks face the Patriots tomorrow night.

It will be interesting to see whether the Seahawks can replicate the success they found during their Super Bowl-winning season. The NFC West is the NFL’s best conference, which means that Seattle will have to go through a tough regular-season slate to position itself well for the playoffs.

But the Seahawks have to like their chances, as long as Darnold is still under center.
