Hooray for the brave pilot, passengers and crew of Tel Aviv-bound FlyDubai 1073 who foiled its co-pilot’s evil attempt to murder his captain and — in all likelihood — crash the plane into an Israeli city or monument, killing everyone aboard.

The maniac’s strike right after the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and a few days before the third anniversary of the Oct. 7 slaughter was an obvious terror attack, likely inspired by pro-Hamas or Islamist sympathies.

We know that the co-pilot stabbed pilot Smit Machchhar (an Indian national), who despite serious wounds managed to open the cabin door, alerting crew and passengers.

As the plane entered a tailspin, plummeting 15,000 feet in just two minutes, a crewmember and passenger managed to squeeze into the cockpit and forcibly subdue the co-pilot, who was trying to disable the plane’s controls.

Luckily, two other pilots were aboard and landed the plane in Saudi Arabia.

By a miracle, everyone survived, with the hero pilot’s injuries being treated.

This was the happy sequel to Flight 93: Somewhere, Todd Beamer & Co. are surely cheering their heirs.

Yet prestige media were remarkably slow to acknowledge the obvious aspects of the story: “A plane flying from Dubai to Israel was diverted after an altercation between the pilot and co-pilot,” posted The New York Times.

An “altercation”? That’s like describing the JFK assassination as a collision between his head and a small flying object. (Aside from the altercation, was the in-flight service to your liking?)

The Times later sniffed, “unlike activists and partisans, we don’t publish speculation or unverified information.”

Umm: Calling Hunter Biden’s laptop a Russian op? Insisting it was racist and unscientific to ask if COVID leaked from a lab? The Gaza famine hoax and the “Israeli rape dog” one? Russiagate?

At least one bright spot shines through here: the unified response of the Indian pilot, international crew and Israeli passengers — on an Emirati plane over Saudi airspace — in acting quickly to foil the would-be mass killing.

That’s the real “united nations” in action, not the vacuous gabfest that just finished in New York.
