Earthquake strikes Southern California overnight Friday

A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Long Beach area after midnight Friday.

The quake hit around 12:45 a.m. about 1 mile southwest of the Signal Hill area, according to the US Geological Survey.

The earthquake occurred about 7.64 miles underground. There no immediate reports of damages or injuries.

The quake struck days after a 3.5-magnitude tremor shook part shaken parts of Southern California Monday, striking in the Pacific Ocean off the Orange County coast and felt as far as San Diego.
