Alleged Dez Bryant assault victim tells The Post what set off ex-NFL star: ‘You going to die today’

Dez Bryant punched a teenager in the hand, scratched up his phone and repeatedly threatened to kill him during a heated dispute in a Texas parking lot on Sunday, according to the former Cowboys star’s alleged assault victim.

In an exclusive interview with The Post on Monday, Noah Reyes, a 19-year-old barber, said Bryant, 37, put his hands on him just outside of a Southlake restaurant right after Reyes and some friends had attended church.

Reyes told The Post Bryant became unhinged after he and his buddy, 19-year-old HVAC install technician Terrance Avery, were honking their horns and hitting the gas on their cars while they were next to the ex-NFL player on a nearby roadway.

Both Reyes and Avery said Bryant followed them to their lunch spot’s location, got out of his vehicle and immediately started yelling.

At one point, Bryant allegedly told Reyes, “You better not park that car and get out or I’ll stomp your face into this pavement.”

“I was like, ‘OK, really?’” Reyes said of how he responded to Bryant.

Reyes said he then got out of his car and went to put some items into his backseat, which ignited Bryant.

“He thought that — he accused me of trying to get a gun,” Reyes said. “He thought I was going in my car to get a gun.”

Bryant then allegedly went to the back of his own car.

“He was reaching in the door,” Reyes said. “He was like come over here. He was like, ‘You over here threatening me? You threatening me?’ He was like, ‘You going to die today. I’ma shoot you. I’ma kill you. You’re not going to live to see another day.’

Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant was handcuffed after an incident with teenagers.

“He’s yelling that out loud.”

Added Avery: “He didn’t flash a gun, but he sure acted like he had one.”

Reyes said moments later, the altercation turned violent when he pulled out his phone to record Bryant “in case he tries to do anything.”

Noah Reyes, 19, said Dez Bryant punched him, threatened to kill him and scratched his phone on Sunday.
19-year-old Terrance Avery said Dez Bryant followed him and his friend, Noah Reyes, to a parking lot after they had honked their horns near the former NFL player.

“As soon as I pull my phone out, whack,” Reyes said. “He smacks it straight out of my hand onto the ground. I kind of just stood there.”

Bryant then allegedly picked up Reyes’ phone and spiked it into the ground.

“My screen saver was shattered,” Reyes claimed.

Bryant then allegedly threw a punch at Reyes’ phone after the teen had grabbed it off the pavement.

“He just punched me,” Reyes said. “He hit my hand.”

Reyes said the strike left him with a bump that “feels like a bruise.”

A spokesperson for the Southlake Police Department said in a statement to The Post on Monday that officers arrived on the scene just after the altercation broke out at around 12:59 p.m.

“Several callers reported that multiple individuals were involved in the altercation as well as a possible weapon,” the Southlake PD rep said. “Based on that information, officers drew their firearms upon arrival as a precaution to address any potential threats and ensure the safety of everyone at the scene. Several individuals were temporarily detained as part of the investigation. No firearms were recovered at the scene.”

Police investigated the situation, and ultimately issued Bryant a citation for Assault by Contact, a Class
C misdemeanor, before he was released at the scene.

Reyes said he’s now going to file a lawsuit against Bryant over the incident.

“No questions asked,” he said. “He’s getting sued.”

Reyes and Avery added they both would also like to see a public apology from Bryant.

Noah Reyes said Dez Bryant broke his screen protector during the incident in Southlake, Texas on Sunday.

“He might be an ex-NFL superstar, but I’m still somebody to the community, you know?” Reyes said. “He’s ruining my reputation at the end of the day.”

Bryant said during a sitdown with Outkick hours after the ordeal that the teens were the ones who were in the wrong, alleging that he was only acting in self-defense after one of them had threatened to shoot him.

“I knocked the phone out of his hand,” said Bryant, who also accused the teenagers of cutting him off on the roadway. “And first thing he said was, I’m fitting to call the police.

“I said, ‘Call them. You’re threatening me, so it’s all good. I have the right to protect myself.’”

Bryant is due in court on Nov. 20 for a hearing on his citation.
